WHY LAPRIMA S.L. ? You own a property in Lanzarote and you need someone to carry out the basic needs such as cleaning, laundry, pool maintenance and maybe even gardening. Laprima S. L. does all of these things. We have been servicing properties on Lanzarote for over 20 years and established as Laprima S.L. for over 16 years. The majority of our customers have been with us for most of those 20 years, which we think speaks for itself. But if you own a property here you need more. You need someone to oversee your affairs as well as your property. This is a foreign country to you and sooner or later you will need help here that your lawyer, accountants, bank or insurers can't give. You or your guests will need help because something has gone wrong, they have some other kind of problem, or they may even be ill. We recently had a tour of a new property that we were taking over, led by the letting agent, rather than the owner. As we went around the house, various subjects came up for discussion and we responded with how Laprima S.L. would deal with some of the problems that the owners had suffered. After a while the agent said 'you have been around this job for a while haven't you'? We said 'Yes, but there's still plenty to learn, even after 20 years'. In choosing an entity that can deal with any eventuality here, you need a properly organised company, a legal and established local company that can represent you openly, without hindrance, but with local experience. It follows then that there should be staff within this framework that understand the local administration and of course have a good command of the language. They should also be a legal entity, not frightened to confront the authorities on your behalf because they aren't paying social securities for example. If you want some alterations or work done at your property, you need someone to do it properly, efficiently and on time. Laprima S. L. have completed hundreds of such projects here, many of which can be seen on this website with progress photographs. A company that has full time staff so that internal illness and holidays do not present the owner with the all too familiar problems caused by the 'one man band' or 'the couple'. Laprima S. L. has its own 'in house' technical staff and someone is always on call 24 hours a day, every day. We don't have to rely on calling out a third party plumber or electrician on a Sunday evening. This might not seem too important now, whilst everything is working, but sooner or later, it will be necessary. We have heard of many many owners that have been disappointed with the service they hoped they would be able to rely on when they really needed it. The reason is almost always related to language, illness, holidays or lack of technical know how, having to rely on third parties to fix problems. Last of all you need to be able to communicate, you will need to fax over that document that you received in Spanish and had to sign for, to see what it is for, or you need an e-mailed photograph of work in progress. You are placing the care of your investment in someone's hands and leaving it, to go home, thousands of miles away. When you make your choice then, these are the questions to ask; Can someone turn up quickly at any time with assistance of any kind? Do you speak the language and understand the local technical methods? Can you give back up service during holidays etc.? Do you have at least several years of experience living on Lanzarote?
