Here you can see the room as it was before we started. It was originally a kitchen with a window on the right. The room had no running water, except when it rained!
This is the old celing\roof. Most of the beams were salvaged and treated, only one was replaced. They were then all stained and oiled.
The room was transformed to what you see here, now with hot and cold water, a 'walk in' shower, the beams treated and oiled and a simple, re-enforced glass skylight brightens the room. The accessories are, as you can see, in keeping with the age of the house.
When the window was removed, in order to create an opening for the wash hand basin, it revealed a lovely stone arch above. This was retained, emphasised and the returns tiled. Old stained glass panels were found and a new wooden frame made to accommodate them.
